Center Policies

Intellectual Property

IP Records

  • The IPO shall maintain records of the university’s IP and store them in appropriate form and in sufficient detail.
  • It shall monitor the deadlines for the payment and other obligations related to the maintenance or annuity fees of protected IP.

IP Services

University clients, such as faculty, researchers. students, and non-academic personnel shall avail themselves of the IP services with no fees to be incurred. External clients, such as those with no formal ties to the university, shall, however, be subject to appropriate fees reflective of the services requested from the office.

Intellectual Property Filings

The main IP service of the IPO is to provide IP protection through IPO-PHL registration of IPs that the university has direct or joint ownership. The office can also provide to IP registration service for technology transfer and/or TBI clients for a certain fee stipulated under their contract or based on standard service fees.
