LNU Brass Band Print

LNU Brass Band was organized in 1997 with only six members. Since then it has grown to the size of a regular band of twenty one. Initially  a marching band, the LNU Brass Band leads in its school's parades and other ceremonial activities. At present it has enriched its repertoire with overtures, ballroom pieces, and church  music. Under the baton of Maestro Federico Velarde, the band can play  any tune, given enough time to rehearse.

 
LNU Dance Troupe Print

The LNU Dance Troupe was formerly known as LNU Kaliawan Dance Troupe. Recognized in the region for its for-aesthetics rendering of the Philippine dance tradition, it has evolved its choreographic directions from its Founders and Artistic Directors as they come and go in the university - Professor Delly Sepaco-Nabong, Edsel Candido, Sheila Lyn Tan-Manuel and Romyr Gabon. Presently, the group, under the tutelage of Prof. Romyr Gabon, is exploring its repertoire from contemporary Philippine dance suite for its form and essence in its interpretation.  


 
LNU Glee Club Print

LNU GLEE CLUB is a resident chorale group of the university. Its venue of performances extends to other schools and government agencies in the region. The LNU Glee Club is under the tutelage of a resident choir director, Dr. Elsie Abellera. 


 
LNU Sirang Theater Ensemble (LSTE) Print

LNU Sirang Theater Ensemble (LSTE) is a newly established university based student organization with a social conscience. Under the direction of its Artistic Director Prof. Jose N. Lianza, the group serves as the university's performing arts arm specializing in folk development theater. LSTE's remarkable performances were in Pagdayaw Leytenhon, First Provincial Award for Culture and the Arts and Sinamay: Sayaw, Laylayon ug Siday, Grand Performing Arts Night of the Leyte Heritage Festival.  Most of LSTE's repertoire are re-stagings of and inspirations from the works of noted Leyteño poets and dramatists playwrights such as Eduardo Makabenta, Sr.'s Despidida Kan Kirikay and Iluminado Lucente's An Malabad Nga Magtiayon.

For this season, LSTE explores the revival of the zarzuela, of Iluminado Lucente's melodrama Diri Daraga, Diri Balo, Diri Inasaw-an with the musical direction of a noted pianist, Maestro Leoncio Olobia.
