Bannering the theme, “Strengthening Camaraderie for a Unified and Responsible Studentry,” the General Acquaintance party and Induction Ceremony took place at the ORC Quadrangle on July 31, 2009, despite the bad weather.

                The program proper started at 3:00 P.M. with Aiza M. Tagayong and Keneth Severine S. Bagangan as the masters of the ceremony.  A Eucharistic Celebration consumed the first part of the program followed  immediately by the invocation performed by the Leyte Normal University-Integrated laboratory School (LNU-ILS) chorale. Thereafter, the singing of the Philippine National Anthem headed by the LNU Brass band proceeded. Trisha   Dawn   B.  Daffon, Vice President of the Supreme Student Council (SSC), presented her words of welcome to formally open the event.

The Mass Induction followed and was conducted by the University President Dr. Evelyn C. Cruzada. Afterwards, Dr. Cruzada delivered a speech made up of Bible passages and words eyeing the significance of camaraderie.

                The community singing of “Yesterday’s Dream” and the LNU Hymn on the final part of the ceremony unified the crowd. The general party was celebrated afterwards with talks and dinner.
