| LNU holds Phil-Ko Cultural Exchange Program |

Elcarte Spearheaded by the LNU-SSC (Supreme Student Council) in cooperation with the Languages and Literature Unit, the Philippines-Korea Cultural Exchange Program was held at the Student Center Mini-theater on January 20, 2010. The program consisted of song and dance, games and food presentations depicting both the unique culture of Korea and the Philippines. The LNU-Chorale, LNU Brass band and the LNU Dance troupe each showcased Philippine native songs and dances for the Korean visitors while the Korean delegates presented Samulnori a Korean folk music and Korean famous dances which is now familiar to the Filipinos. The Koreans also had the chance to learn the Philippine national dance which is the Tinikling. Games also completed the event wherein they played the Pinoy game Luksong Tinik and “Catch the Mouse” by the Korean delegates. The progam ended with a message from Dr. Marietta B. Arinto, Vice President for Administration, Extension and International Linkages and from the head of the Korean Delegation, Young Lin Kim “Patrick”. The Korean delegates together with their professors Dr. Choong Young Jung and Dr. Soo Duck Chang from Hannam University visited the University on January 16-22 aiming to enhance their proficiency with the English language. Twenty Business Management students from the said university participated namely, Go Eun Kim “Erika”, Bok Duck Kim “Kelly”, Jin Sun Kim “Jesica”, Hye Min Kim “Sandra”, Ju Hyun park “Rachel”, Ji Hyun Park “Lisa”, Han Kyeol Bae “Coco”, Bo Ram Shin “Rebecca”, Jae Eun Um “Clara”, Hae Gang Oh “Elly”, Jin Sun Yi “Tasha”, Ah Ra Cho “AJ”, Byung Geuk Gong “Arnold”, Jong Phil Park “Danny”, Se Hyung Yi “John”, Yun Soo Lee “Billy”, Hae Chul Lee “Harry”, Chan Ho Jeon “Jay” and Woo Joo Jeon “Brown”.
