Congressman Acidre, LNU Resonates Quests for SDGs


Tingog Partylist Representative, Hon. Jude A. Acidre, graced the 6th International Multidisciplinary Research Conference (IMRC) as a keynote speaker on behalf of Hon. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, Speaker of the House of Representatives. During his talk, Hon. Acidre echoed Leyte Normal University’s pursuit and quest for the SDGs.

“Our conference theme, “Breaking Barriers for Sustainable Development”, is particularly resonant at this juncture in history. We find ourselves grappling with a range of complex, interconnected challenges that can be addressed through multidisciplinary collaboration and innovative thinking,” Hon. Acidre stated.

“Like your research work, our legislative actions involved a multi-faceted understanding of various societal domains, economics, health, environment, education, and culture among others. We are engaged in multidisciplinary research, developing policies that are evidence-based, inclusive, and designed to build a better future,” he further discussed.

In closing, Cong. Acidre extended his thanks to LNU for its initiatives to break the barriers of SDGs. In his words, “I want to express my profound admiration and gratitude for the work that you do. Your research is our beacon, guiding us in making informed decisions for the benefit of our people and the world.”
