Admission Procedure

Entrance Standards

1.

Admission to the University is open to all high school graduates with the required credentials and grade point average.

2.

All applicants for enrolment to college will undergo screening and testing.

3.

Screening will be done strictly within the announced dates and schedule.

4.

Students who meet the admission requirements and who pass the entrance examination are qualified for enrolment.

5.

Priority is given to applicants who have never enrolled in college. Transferees will only be accommodated for the remaining slots on a quota based on availability of staff and facilities / resources. The criteria for admission of transferees are determined by Screening Committee and are posted on strategic bulletin boards during the screening period. Applicants who have earned a degree in LNU or any other SUC will no longer be accepted.

Admission to all programs in the graduate level is continuous during the academic year first and second semesters and the summer term. General requirements include possession of appropriate educational degrees with satisfactory academic records.

Admission Requirements:
1. Graduate Programs (Master's degree and Doctorate degree):

Admission to graduate program is done before the term during the academic year. To qualify, an applicant must have an appropriate Bachelor's or Master's degree, satisfactory academic records, must submit a Transcript of Records and Honorable Dismissal.

2. For Undergraduate Programs (1st Year College and Transferees):

College Applicants:
Requirements for Screening (to qualify for Testing and Interview)
1.

Duly certified (by Principal or his / her authorized representative) Xerox copy of High School Report Card / Form 138 showing at least up to 2nd grading period.

2.

GPA of 80% or better with no grades lower than 80 in English, Math, Science.

3.

3 pieces of recent 2x2 clear close-up ID picture

4.

Must pay a Screening Fee of Two Hundred Pesos (P200.00) only.


Transferees
1.

Must not have taken more than four semesters of college education in another school (two-year vocational courses are not counted as college education).

2.

Grade Point Average (GPA) must be 85% or better.

3.

3 pieces of recent 2x2 close-up ID picture.

4.

Screening Fee of P200.00

5.

Required documents:

  • Authenticated xerox copy of Transcript of Records (TOR).
  • Honorable Dismissal.
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character.

Returnees (some may still be required to take the LNU-CAT)
1.

Leave of Absence (LOA) student's copy

2.

Evaluation sheet from the Registrar's Office

Clearance

Enrollment Requirements

  • Must submit the original copy of the following:
  • High School Report Card/Form 138/Form 137/TOR
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character
  • Certificate of Live Birth (Original and xerox copy)
  • Doctor's certificate of Chest X-ray Results and Urinalysis
  • Grade Point Average (GPA) must be at least 80% or better with no grade of less than 80 in both English, Math and Science.
