Elementary Education Programs
The BEEd is a four-year undergraduate teacher education degree program designed to prepare individuals intending to teach in the elementary level. It aims to develop highly motivated and competent teachers specializing in the content and pedagogy for elementary education.
After successful completion of all academic requirements of the degree/program and passing the Licensure Examination for Teachers, graduates of BEED should be able to practice the teaching profession in the elementary level (CMO No. 74, s. 2017).
The BECEd is a four-year degree program that provides students with fundamental understanding and application of the principles of early childhood care and education.
It aims to educate individuals to be competent early childhood practitioners working with children from 0-8 years old in various early childhood settings (home, community, school, and workplace).
The program is designed to prepare students for teaching and supporting young children’s development. Completion of the program will qualify graduates for employment in government or private institutions (CMO No. 76, s. 2017).
The BSNEd is a four-year degree program that prepares would-be teachers who will teach and manage students with additional needs in inclusive and segregated educational settings. After completion of all academic requirements of the program, BSNED graduates should be able to practice the teaching profession in the field of Special Needs Education.
Graduates of the generalist BSNEd may be employed in special education centers/clinics as special education teachers, therapists, or clinicians. They can also work in regular schools that practice inclusion as learning support staff and as special education teachers (CMO No. 77, s. 2017).
The BTLEd program is a four-year undergraduate teacher education program that equips learners with adequate and relevant competencies in the area of Technology and Livelihood Education, particularly for the TLE exploratory courses from Grade 4-8.
BTLEd graduates may qualify as EPP teachers for Grades 4-6 and/or TLE teachers in Grades 7-8. They may also qualify as TVET trainers and assessors after they have obtained the appropriate certification. Graduates may also proceed to practice careers in various sectors of industry as entrepreneurs or as employees (CMO No. 78, s. 2017).
Secondary Education Programs
The BSEd is a four-year undergraduate teacher education program designed to equip learners with adequate and relevant competencies to teach in their chosen area of specialization/major in the secondary level.
It aims to develop highly motivated and competent teachers specializing in the content and pedagogy for secondary education.
Graduates of BSEd program can practice the teaching profession in the Secondary Level (CMO No. 75, s. 2017).
Major in English
The BSED major in English program is an undergraduate teacher education program designed to equip learners with adequate and relevant competencies to enable them to teach English in the secondary level.
Major in Filipino
The BSED major in Filipino program is an undergraduate teacher education program designed to equip learners with adequate and relevant competencies to enable them to teach Filipino in the secondary level.
Major in Mathematics
The BSED major in Mathematics program is an undergraduate teacher education program designed to equip learners with adequate and relevant competencies to enable them to teach Mathematics in the secondary level.
Major in Science
The BSED major in Science program is an undergraduate teacher education program designed to equip learners with adequate and relevant competencies to enable them to teach Science in the secondary level.
Major in Social Studies
The BSED major in Social Studies program is an undergraduate teacher education program designed to equip learners with adequate and relevant competencies to enable them to teach Social Studies in the secondary level.
Major in Values Education
The BSED major in Values Education program is an undergraduate teacher education program designed to equip learners with adequate and relevant competencies to enable them to teach Values Education in the secondary level.
The BPEd is a four-year program aimed at equipping graduates with the competencies to meet the psychomotor, cognitive and affective needs of learners.
Graduates of this program may qualify as Physical Education (PE) teacher in Basic Education, Dance and Sports Club Moderator, School-Based Sports Program and Events Moderator/Coordinator (CMO No. 80, s. 2017).
The Teacher Certificate Program (TCP) is designed to prepare non-teacher education graduates for teaching junior and senior high school. It is a 30-unit program comprising eight (8) professional education courses inclusive of 6 units Teaching Internship.
