Leyte Normal University (LNU) shared its best practices in teacher education during a benchmarking activity with the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) on March 30, 2026, held at the OUP Conference Hall.

University officials and academic leaders from LNU presented their established systems in curriculum development, practice teaching, and educational research. These were discussed with UPLB’s BS Mathematics and Science Teaching Program (MSTP), which aims to strengthen its teacher preparation.

Known for its excellence in teacher education, LNU highlighted effective strategies in professional education courses, innovative teaching internships, and strong research standards. The activity gave UPLB valuable insights into approaches that support high-quality teacher training.
