Leyte Normal University joined Higher Education Institutions across Eastern Visayas in the simultaneous flag raising ceremony hosted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office VIII on May 18, 2026.

The activity was held in accordance with CHED Regional Memorandum Order No. 153, series of 2026, in celebration of the 32nd Founding Anniversary of CHED and the 5th National Higher Education Day. Through its participation, LNU expressed its support for CHED’s continuing efforts to promote quality, accessible, and inclusive higher education in the region and in the country.

The ceremony served as a meaningful observance of unity, public service, and national pride among higher education institutions.
