Leyte Normal University (LNU) has strengthened its international partnership with Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that formalizes reciprocal academic cooperation between the two institutions.

The agreement opens opportunities for collaboration in seven key areas: visiting lecturer programs, dual degree programs, micro-credentials and short courses, sandwich programs, faculty exchange, research collaborations, and student mobility.

The MOU reflects LNU’s commitment to forging quality global partnerships that expand opportunities for students, faculty, researchers, and academic communities while strengthening its international presence in Southeast Asia. It likewise reinforces UPI’s role as a strategic partner in advancing collaborative initiatives grounded in shared excellence and institutional development.

The strengthened collaboration follows the successful field assessment conducted by LNU at UPI in Bandung, Indonesia, where UPI satisfied all evaluation indicators for international partnership readiness, laying the foundation for a long-term academic relationship guided by reciprocity and mutual trust.
