TACLOBAN CITY, PHILIPPINES – PPA at 50 Stakeholders’ Awards Ceremony at Pacific Point Events Place and Resort.

Leyte Normal University (LNU) was recognized as a Pillar of Agency Excellence by the Department of Justice–Parole and Probation Administration (DOJ-PPA) Region VIII during its 50th Anniversary Celebration held on July 23, 2026.

University President Dr. Gil Nicetas B. Villarino personally accepted the award on behalf of LNU, which honors the University’s unwavering commitment, meaningful collaboration, and sustained support to the agency’s community-based correction programs.

The recognition highlights LNU’s contribution to strengthening rehabilitation and social reintegration efforts through shared responsibility and collective action. Through its partnership with DOJ-PPA Region VIII, the University continues to support initiatives that promote empowerment, inclusivity, and opportunities for individuals in the community.

The award affirms LNU’s dedication to building impactful partnerships with government institutions and advancing its commitment to Service, Integrity, and Excellence in creating positive change beyond the University community.
