Leyte Normal University (LNU) was recognized with three awards from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Region VIII during the FY 2026 Mid-Year Performance Dialogue for SUCs, CHED, and TESDA held on August 19, 2026, at the DBM Regional Office VIII Conference Hall in Marasbaras, Tacloban City.

LNU received the Income Collection Award for achieving a 156.54% income collection rate, exceeding its FY 2025 target. It also earned recognition as a Top Obligations BUR Performer, posting a 99.74% Budget Utilization Rate (BUR) for FY 2025 and ranking second among SUCs in Region VIII.

The University was likewise recognized for 100% Reportorial Compliance for the first quarter of FY 2026, reflecting its complete and timely submission of the required budget and financial accountability reports.

The awards highlight LNU’s commitment to sound financial management, accountability, and efficient utilization of public resources in support of its mandate and services to the Normalista community.
