SDG 9 - Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation
9.4 - Research income from industry and commerce
To measure our institution’s capacity for driving industry collaboration and commercializing scholarly research, our university tracks total research income generated through corporate and commercial partnerships.
This metric evaluates industry-funded research income, adjusted for Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) and normalized against full-time equivalent (FTE) academic staff headcount. To ensure fair and balanced assessment across varied fields of study, the data are subject-weighted across three main disciplinary areas: STEM; medicine; and arts, humanities, and social sciences. Through this standardized evaluation, our institution demonstrates its commitment to fostering vibrant industry-academic synergies, securing external innovation funding, and translating academic expertise into practical economic and societal value.
