Program Description
The PhD in Social Science Research is an academic track post-graduate degree n conferred in recognition of a candidate’s command of conventional and contemporary to advanced research methodologies of a broad field of social science research and the ability to implement, organize, and pursue a research investigation of which is based upon or contributes to the field of social science.
Program Objectives
The program aims to develop students; theoretical, philosophical and practical knowledge in the conduct of social science research.
Specifically, the objectives of the program are as follows:
- Instill rigor and scholarship in the conduct of research.
- Provide theoretical and practical knowledge in psychometric testing;
- Enhance quantitative and qualitative research skills of the students;
- Create equitable opportunities to students to practice social science research.
Program Outcomes
The ultimate goal of the program is to produce professional researchers that utilize conventional, contemporary, and advanced methodologies for the creation of knowledge in the social sciences. The graduates of the program will:
- Act within social and ethical dimensions.
Scrutinize research in terms of ontological, epistemological, axiological, and methodological assumptions - Provide expert judgment assuring research quality.
Present and publish research findings in refereed journal. - Apply conventional and contemporary to advanced methodologies in research.
- Utilize data analysis software in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods
research. - Analyze diverse issues in research management with integrity and excellence.
- Build a theory based on research.
Doctor of Education in Educational Administration (EdD-EdAd)
Program Description
The Doctor of Education with a major in Educational Administration is designed to meet the needs of advanced graduate students who seek to assume administrative roles in education informed by empirical data.
Program Objectives
The EdD-EdAd program aims to develop in students:
- Professional competence in problem-solving and decision-making, building strong human relations, utilizing the most suitable learning systems, developing educational plans, managing resources, and evaluating school programs;
- Communicative competence in facilitating a dynamic and vibrant organizational climate and implementing transformational leadership in education;
- Logical and critical thinking skills to advance their profession through quality teaching, research, and professional service;
ICT competence to facilitate effective teaching and learning process; - Competence in research publication and utilization;
- Holistic school leadership qualities responsive to the needs of the time; and
- Strong commitment in the promotion of sustainable development goals.
Program Outcomes
The EdD-EdAd program shall produce education leaders who are able to:
- Demonstrate logical and critical analysis on situations, events, and predicaments that may arise in the school environment through evaluation and synthesis thinking which would enable individuals in the organization to reflect, solve problems and create products/solutions;
- Show a dynamic and vibrant management who sets and articulates high standards for transformational leadership in education;
- Manifest a high caliber educational administrator dedicated to advance their profession through quality teaching, research, and service;
- Promote effective strategies in the positive use of ICT to facilitate the teaching and learning process;
- Prove research competence by publishing at least one (1) research in an internationally/nationally refereed journal;
- Exhibit a holistic school leadership immersed with the necessary values for the 21st century education; and
- Promote sustainable development through quality education, sustainable lifestyles, human rights, gender equality, promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence, global citizenship and appreciation of cultural diversity.
Doctor of Management in Human Resource Management (DM-HRM)
Program Description
The Doctor of Management with a major in Human Resource Management is a graduate program crafted for professionals and practitioners who intend to deepen and sharpen their competence in managing human resources in an organization. This doctoral program requires the completion of the 42 units of academic requirements which is composed of carefully blended courses aimed to holistically develop the competence of the students in planning, effective decision-making, organizational communication, employee performance evaluation, compensation and rewards system, and on labor relations policies and regulations. Furthermore, students of this program are expected to do studies and researches relevant to the profession.
Program Goals
The Doctor of Management in Human Resource Management program aims to produce competent human resource managers committed in the advancement and professionalization of managerial practice.

The DM-HRM program has the following specific objectives:
- To produce human resource management professionals who are capable of making effective decisions based on the fundamental characteristics of human resources.
- To produce graduates who are skilled in implementing relevant principles and practices related human resource management.
- To produce graduates who are capable of planning and implementing effective communication strategies within and outside the organization.
- To produce experts in assessing staff performance and designing suitable rewards system.
- To produce graduates who are knowledgeable on pertinent and relevant policies on labor relations and making use of it for effective decision making.

Graduates of the Doctor of Management in Human Resource Management (DM-HRM) program should be:
- Competent in assessing the mental, emotional, and relational characteristics of human resources as basis for effective decision making.
- Adept in implementing the human resource management practices and processes in the local and global context.
- Competent in implementing and managing effective organizational communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Competent in conducting employees’ performance evaluation and measurement and design appropriate compensation and reward measures for sustained motivation in the organization.
- Competent in implementing relevant laws, rules and regulations on labor relations and regulatory practices.
- Able to publish a human resource management related research paper in refereed journal.
Doctor of Education in English Language Teaching (Ed.D. - ELT)
Program Description
This program is designed to produce tertiary-level language mentors and language education leaders with highly advanced systematic knowledge and skills in innovating pedagogical strategies, in managing language programs, and in supervising others in the field. It further aims to hone their competence in carrying out practice-based research for the derivation and utilization of teaching-learning models that meet the needs of the teachers of language.
Program Outcomes
The program aims to produce graduates who can:
Display expertise in critically evaluating contemporary theories and research findings in order to implement principled practices in language teaching and learning;
Produce highly scholarly papers on critical issues in language and literature teaching and be able to communicate breakthroughs and innovations to both specialists and non-specialists;
Demonstrate in-depth and solid content expertise and a high level of competence in managing language and literature programs;
Exhibit keenness in the use of digital media and electronic resources in the actual work setting;
Make very informed judgments on complex issues in their field of specialization by ethical and social dimensions of the field and assume responsibility and accountability whenever they speak and write; and
Exemplify expert level ability to produce at least one (1) publishable research in a nationally or internationally indexed journal or a juried creative work
