Philippine UN Resident Coordinator Gustavo Gonzales Lauds LNU for SDG Pursuits


Hon. Gustavo Gonzalez, UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in the Philippines, commended LNU in its pursuit of breaking barriers for SDGs through research during the LNU IMRC 2023.

“I congratulate all of you on behalf of the United Nations for placing the SDG’s agenda at the heart of your knowledge investment. So proud. And your international multidisciplinary research conference is very timely as we have just seven years close to the 2030 destination,” said the UN attache.

“Your conference on breaking barriers for sustainable development is extremely timely. I hope your conclusions and outcomes will contribute to the Philippine’s positions at the upcoming SDG Summit in New York,” Hon. Gonzales further stressed.

The 6th IMRC of LNU promotes a dialogue on achieving sustainable development goals 4 (Quality Education), 5 (Gender Equality), 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), 14 (Life Below Water), and 15 (Life on Land).
