LNU Seals Usufruct Agreement with Barangay 50-A for Multi-Purpose Hall Project

TACLOBAN CITY, PHILIPPINES (Feb. 16, 2026) – Signing of Usufruct Agreement between Leyte Normal University (LNU) and Barangay 50-A, Tacloban City at LNU Office of the University President (OUP) Conference Room.
LNU has formalized a partnership with Barangay 50-A Youngfield, Tacloban City, through the signing of a usufruct agreement that strengthens collaboration between the University and the local government unit.
Under the agreement, LNU, represented by University President Dr. Gil Nicetas B. Villarino, grants Barangay 50-A, represented by Punong Barangay Hon. Reynaldo H. Gobenciong, the right to use a portion of the University’s property near the Mangonbangon River as the construction site for the barangay’s Multi-Purpose Hall.
The initiative underscores LNU’s commitment to community engagement and local development by supporting infrastructure projects that directly benefit residents. Through this partnership, the University reinforces its role not only as an academic institution but also as a proactive partner in advancing sustainable and meaningful local impact in Tacloban City.
