Leyte Normal University Joins National Women’s Month Celebration

TACLOBAN CITY, PHILIPPINES (March 2, 2026) – Green Initiatives Mangrove Planting at Paraiso Mangrove Eco Learning Park, San Jose, Tacloban City

Demonstrating its strong commitment to sustainability, Leyte Normal University conducted a Mangrove Planting Activity as part of its Green Initiatives in celebration of its 105th Founding Anniversary.

Held at the Paraiso Mangrove Eco Learning Park Marine and Wildlife Sanctuary, the activity was conducted in partnership with Brgy. 83 Paraiso, San Jose District, Tacloban City. University officials, faculty members, students, and personnel were joined by community members and local leaders, highlighting a strong spirit of collaboration and shared responsibility for environmental protection.

The initiative not only strengthens coastal resilience and marine biodiversity but also reflects LNU’s theme of sustaining excellence, embracing innovations, and expanding horizons through community collaboration. By laying the groundwork for a greener future, the University continues to turn its sustainability commitments into meaningful action beyond the campus.
