CME Launches First-Ever Chefs’ Kitchen Garden

TACLOBAN CITY, PHILIPPINES (March 5, 2026) – Launching of the Chefs’ Garden at Leyte Normal University (LNU) Hotel Crescencia.
In celebration of the 105th Founding Anniversary of Leyte Normal University, the College of Management and Entrepreneurship (CME) launched its first-ever greenhouse project, the “Chefs’ Kitchen Garden,” at Crescencia Café on March 5.
The initiative, part of the college’s fair, promotes sustainable, farm-to-table practices and serves as a hands-on learning space for culinary and hospitality students. The event featured a greenhouse farming awareness talk by Tacloban City Agriculturist Mr. Romelo Anade and a walkthrough of the garden.
Support for the project was expressed by Larry U. Sultan, Retired Regional Technical Director of the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office VIII, who highlighted the importance of strengthening agricultural awareness and sustainability among students.
The project underscores LNU’s continued commitment to innovation, sustainability, and experiential learning.
