The Elite Association Student Eventologists (EASE) of Leyte Normal University organized “Beyond the Podium: A Masterclass in Professional Hosting” on May 12, 2026 at the Hotel Crescencia Function Hall. The activity gathered aspiring student hosts and future event professionals from Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management Major in Events Management for a learning session centered on confidence, professionalism, effective communication, and stage presence.

The masterclass featured experts from the LNU Public Affairs and Marketing Communications Office (PAMCO), namely Dr. Gillian Mae G. Villaflor, Mr. Jushua S. Marga, and Ms. Genevieve Marie T. Bactasa. They shared their experiences and practical insights on professional hosting, emphasizing that effective hosting goes beyond speaking on stage and requires preparation, audience engagement, quick thinking, and proper delivery.

Throughout the program, participants took part in discussions, simulation activities, and feedback sessions that helped them understand the demands of hosting in real event settings. Through this, it provided students with an opportunity to strengthen their communication skills and appreciate hosting as a professional craft guided by presence, purpose, and responsibility.
