LNU’s Project Boxskwelahan Caps Off Three Years of Early Childhood Enrichment

STA. FE, LEYTE, PHILIPPINES (May 16, 2026) – Culmination Activity for the Project Boxskwelahan at San Miguelay Elementary School.
Project Boxskwelahan: An Enrichment Program for Young Children, an extension initiative of the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECEd) and Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education (MAEd-ECE) programs of the College of Education of Leyte Normal University, capped its three-year journey through a Culminating Activity and Annual Progress Monitoring held on May 16, 2026, at Brgy. San Miguelay, Sta. Fe, Leyte.
Certificates of completion were awarded to the Boxskwelahan learners, while faculty extensionists, project leaders, community volunteers, and partner researchers were recognized for their contributions to the program.
The activity featured final class sessions, post-tests, and interviews with beneficiaries conducted by external researchers and extensionists from Eastern Visayas State University – Carigara Campus as part of the project’s impact study.
Present during the activity were barangay officials, LNU extensionists, external researchers, College of Education Dean Billy A. Danday, and College Extension Coordinator Joderic C. Navarette.
