TACLOBAN CITY, PHILIPPINES (May 25, 2026) – Formal Launching of the eGov Kiosk

Leyte Normal University (LNU) formally launched the eGov Kiosk today, May 25, 2026, through an onboarding and orientation program held at the university campus.

Developed by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), the eGov Kiosk introduces a digital access point designed to provide the university community and stakeholders with convenient, user-friendly access to online government services.

By serving as a central digital hub, the kiosk fosters efficiency and responsible technology use among stakeholders. It also aims to eliminate lengthy manual processes and the need for physical travel to various government offices.

During the event, messages were delivered by LNU President Dr. Gil Nicetas B. Villarino and DICT OIC-Regional Director Atty. Melvin Carlo T. Barroa. The program also featured the introduction of the kiosk’s features by Atty. Lovely Mei R. Dela Cruz, DICT Assistant Regional Director, and a system demonstration conducted by DICT’s Mr. Cosme Socito, Jr. Subsequently, the closing address was delivered by Dr. Solomon Faller Jr., LNU’s Vice President for Administration and Finance.
