LNU Researchers Off to India for Prestigious Fellowship

Dr. Myra A. Abayon and Dr. Las Johansen B. Caluza, researchers from Leyte Normal University (LNU), have flown to India for the prestigious Naveen Jindal Young Global Research Fellowship (2026–2027) at O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) in Delhi NCR.

Their month-long in-campus residency runs from June 8 to July 10, 2026. This early-career fellowship program is designed to foster advanced interdisciplinary research collaboration, scholarly discussions, and global networking.

As part of the academic mandates, Dr. Abayon, Executive Director for Research and Innovation, and Dr. Caluza, Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, are required to publish at least one research paper in a Scopus-indexed journal under JGU affiliation within the year.

Subsequently, Dr. Abayon and Dr. Caluza will engage in advanced interdisciplinary research collaborations, participate in academic conferences, and build international partnerships aimed at strengthening LNU’s global research visibility.
