From Vision to Reality: New Health and Wellness Center at LNU

TACLOBAN CITY, PHILIPPINES – Inauguration and Blessing of the Leyte Normal University – Health and Wellness Center (LNU-HWC) and HWC Multipurpose Hall at the Youngfield Campus.

Leyte Normal University marks another institutional milestone with the official inauguration and blessing of the LNU Health and Wellness Center (HWC) and the LNU HWC Multipurpose Hall on August 25, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the LNU Youngfield.

Far from being mere physical structures, these facilities stand as powerful representations of the University’s holistic commitment to the health, well-being, and vibrant community life of its academic population.

LNU President Dr. Gil Nicetas B. Villarino and CHED Commissioner and Chair Designate of the LNU Board of Regents Hon. Michelle Aguilar Ong led the key ceremonial rites alongside Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Solomon D. Faller, Jr.; members of the LNU Board of Regents and Management Committee; DPWH Region VIII project engineers and contractors; and Rev. Fr. Kelvin Joy M. Apurillo of the Archdiocesan Shrine of Santo Niño de Tacloban. The proceedings featured the “From Vision to Reality” presentations, the official turnover of the infrastructure, and a solemn ribbon-cutting ceremony and blessing.

These landmarks represent the University’s enduring dedication to integrity, excellence, and service, ensuring that LNU remains at the forefront of providing a world-class educational environment for future generations.
