LNU Collaborates with CPD on Research Forum on Population Development

Leyte Normal University continues its pursuit on excellence and service as it hosts a research forum with Commission on Population and Development (CPD) joined by other academic institutions around Region 8, March 26, 2025.
The event, Research Forum: Eastern Visayas Director’s Summit on Population and Development, commenced with a welcome message from the university OIC President, Dr. Jonas P. Villas followed by the statement of the agenda of the said activity brought by the Regional Director of CPD VIII, Elnora L. Pulma, MMPM.
Delegates from various state universities, colleges, and research agencies presented their studies on population and development issues in the Eastern Visayas Region. The event featured a Focused Group Discussion (FGD) workshop, where participants collaboratively explored their research findings, identified key issues and gaps, and formulated policy recommendations to address population challenges.
The stakeholders of this initiative aim to enhance the quality of life for Filipino citizens, particularly in Region VIII, by fostering stronger alliances and collaborative efforts, building a future driven by research.
