LNU Hosts Public Forum for Presidential Aspirants

Leyte Normal University held a public forum as part of the Search for the next University President on May 16, 2025, at the HRDC Alba Hall. The event gathered students, faculty, alumni, and private sector representatives to meet and engage with the four presidential aspirants: Dr. Myrna L. Macalinao, Dr. Ronald B. Madera, Dr. Generoso N. Mazo, and Dr. Gil Nicetas B. Villarino.

After presenting their leadership vision, each candidate engaged in a two-part open dialogue with key university stakeholders. This interactive session provided a valuable opportunity for them to clarify and elaborate on their proposed initiatives.

The public forum served not only as a platform for transparency and accountability but also as a reflection of LNU’s commitment to participatory governance. As the university moves closer to appointing its next president, the insights and dialogues from this forum are expected to play a crucial role in shaping the institution’s next chapter.
