BSED and BAEL Faculty Conducts TESOL in Action 2025

Leyte Normal University, through its BSED-English and BA English Language (BAEL) units, in partnership with the United States Embassy-Regional English Language Office (RELO), spearheaded the Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) in Action International Conference on May 26–27, 2025 at the LNU Ballroom Hall. The event convened English language educators and pre-service teachers from both public and private institutions.

Resource speakers were English Language Fellows from the US Embassy: Ms. Emily Box, Ms. Maureen Rooney and Mr. Michael Schapiro; and esteemed LNU faculty members: Dr. Glenda Cadiente, Dr. Arlynn Aguilar, Prof. Jufran Agustin, and Prof. Robertgie Pianar.

From them, participants gained fresh insights on classroom engagement strategies, differentiated instruction, and the role of artificial intelligence in listening and speaking activities. The sessions emphasized both theoretical grounding and practical classroom applications tailored for 21st-century educators.
