BSED-Math Faculty and Math Students’ Society Conducts “pag-ARAM” Colloquium to Boost Math Research Skills
Leyte Normal University (LNU), through its Secondary Education Mathematics Faculty and Math Students Society, held a two-day colloquium titled “pag-ARAM: A Colloquium on Mathematical Investigation and Modeling” on June 27 and July 2, 2025.
Part of LNU’s ARAM initiative (Actions to Reinforce Aptitude in Mathematics), the event aimed to enhance the research and problem-solving skills of preservice mathematics teachers.
The first day featured lectures by faculty members Mr. Christian G. Abalos and Mr. Michael Jun M. Ponciano, while the second day showcased student research proposal presentations with feedback from faculty panels.
The activity reinforced LNU’s commitment to developing educators as critical thinkers and reflective researchers in mathematics education.
