Normalista Delegates Participate in Green SONA 2025
Leyte Normal University (LNU) actively participated in the Green State of Nature Assessment (Green SONA) 2025 held on September 3–4 at Visayas State University, Baybay City, Leyte. The event gathered various sectors to address pressing environmental issues such as climate change, ecosystem degradation, pollution, and sustainable resource management.
Represented by the Circle of Future Educators (COFED), Disaster Risk Reduction and Management/Pollution Control (DRRM/PC), and Science Questers Unlimited (SQU), LNU delegates joined discussions, tree-planting activities, and the introduction of the Ako Ang Bukas website for carbon footprint assessment.
The delegation pledged to apply the knowledge gained by promoting environmental stewardship and sustainability initiatives within the university and its surrounding communities.
