ILS Holds Family Day Activities, Blessing of the New ILS Building


The Leyte Normal University–Integrated Laboratory School (LNU-ILS) marked a historic and joy-filled occasion on September 20, 2025, with the celebration of its Family Day Thanksgiving Mass, the Housewarming of the New ILS Building, and the symbolic Planting of the Tree of Life.

The day’s festivities began with a solemn Thanksgiving Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Kelvin Joy Apurillo, who highlighted the significance of gratitude, unity, and nurturing values that flourish within the family and the school community.

The event was honored by the presence of distinguished university officials led by University President Dr. Gil Nicetas B. Villarino, together with Former University President Dr. Evelyn B. Aguirre, and the LNU Alumni Association, represented by AALNU Secretary Mr. Napoleon Nombre on behalf of President Mr. Dan Stephen Palami. Their presence signified the continued support of the academic community and alumni for the growth and development of ILS.

One of the highlights of the occasion was the Housewarming of the New ILS Building, a long-awaited milestone that symbolizes progress and a renewed commitment to providing quality education in a nurturing environment. This was followed by the Planting of the Tree of Life, a meaningful gesture representing hope, growth, and the strong foundation of the ILS family.
