Normalista Delegates Join 11th National Research Conference for Science and Mathematics Education

LOS BANOS, LAGUNA (Oct. 15-17, 2025) — 11th National Research Conference for Science and Mathematics Education (NRCSME).
Leyte Normal University (LNU) attended the 11th National Research Conference for Science and Mathematics Education (NRCSME) organized by the Department of Science and Technology–Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) at Splash Hotel and Resort, Los Baños, Laguna, from October 15 to 17, 2025.
With the theme “Community Engagement and Partnerships in STEM Education: Strengthening Impact and Relevance,” the event gathered educators and researchers from leading institutions.
Five Capacity Building Program in Science and Mathematics Education (CBPSME) scholar graduates from LNU pursuing MAED Mathematics and MAED Science—namely, Jonel Gallaza, Jhane Eyre Olmedo Gallaza, Rhea Mae Calagos, Donna Mae Gaot Acero, and Amelyn Mesiona Makiling—presented their theses, guided by their respective faculty advisers Prof. Michael Jun Ponciano, Prof. Ariel Salarda, Dr. Ma. Victoria Naboya, and LNU-CBPSME Project Director Dr. Joyce Magtolis.
Highlighting LNU’s participation, Jonel Gallaza was recognized as the Best Thesis Oral Presenter in his category, bringing pride to the university’s growing research community in STEM education.
