Languages and Literature Unit Hosts INLLURC 2025


TACLOBAN CITY, PHILIPPINES (Nov. 27-28, 2025) – 1st International and 3rd National Language and Literature Undergraduate Research Conference (INLLURC) held via Zoom Videoconferencing.

Leyte Normal University, through its Languages and Literature Unit, affirmed its dedication to advancing scholarly work as it hosted the 1st International and 3rd National Language and Literature Undergraduate Research Conference (INLLURC) on November 27–28, 2025. With the theme “English language and literature: Critical voices of care and equity,” the event gathered undergraduate and graduate researchers, faculty mentors, and invited experts from across the Philippines and abroad.

INLLURC 2025 featured 62 undergraduate research presentations across six breakout rooms in Language Studies and Literary and Cultural Studies, with moderators and reactors providing expert feedback. Student researchers from 13 institutions nationwide shared studies on language, literature, and culture, showcasing the depth of emerging undergraduate scholarship.

The online research conference also featured exemplary graduate-level research presentations exploring literary criticism, trauma narratives, linguistic landscapes, indigenous poetics, and cultural identity.
