LNU Hosts DSWD’s Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program Orientation
TACLOBAN CITY, PHILIPPINES (Jan. 15, 2026) – Orientation Program for the C.Y. 2026 Implementation of the Tara, Basa! Program at LNU House Function Room.
Leyte Normal University (LNU) reaffirmed its commitment to community development by hosting the Program Orientation for the CY 2026 implementation of the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program on January 15, 2026, at the LNU House Function Room.
The orientation, which gathered interested students for tutors and Youth Development Workers (YDWs), aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of the program and clarify their roles and responsibilities.
LNU’s active support was underscored by the presence of University President Dr. Gil Nicetas Villarino and Dr. Lowell Quisumbing, Director of the Office of Community Extension Services, highlighting the University’s continued partnership with DSWD in advancing inclusive education and community-based initiatives.
