BAPoS Students Secure International Research Awards

Political Science students from Leyte Normal University presented award-winning research in two international academic conferences held online in November 2025.
Glenn Arthur B. Faller, Neo Lourens Fabi, Ma. Samantha Fabi, Jules G. Galazan, Ma. Eliza R. Cayas, Kristina Cassandra A. Cilmar, Jared Tristian S. Delgado, Kurt Jaypee M. Del Rosario, Mykaella Noel Gerona, and Nash Joms Hobreo presented their study titled “Bridging Policy and Practice: Governance and Inclusion in the Implementation of the Universal Healthcare Act of 2019 for Persons with Disabilities in Tacloban City” during the Nemesio Prudente International Research Conference of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines on November 14, 2025, where it received the Best Oral Presentation award.
In a separate international conference, Glenn Arthur B. Faller, Neo Lourens Fabi, Jules G. Galazan, Kristina Cassandra A. Climar, and Ma. Eliza R. Cayas were awarded Best Paper for their research titled “Intergovernmental Dynamics in Health Governance: Institutional Performance Under the Philippines’ Universal Healthcare Act.” The paper was presented at the 2025 Biennial International Conference on Political and Democracy in Southeast Asia (PoDSEA 2025) on November 26, 2025, co-hosted by the University of the Philippines–Diliman and Universitas Pembangunan Nasional (UPN) Veteran Jakarta.
These international recognitions highlight not only the students’ dedication and scholarly excellence but also Leyte Normal University’s commitment to nurturing globally competitive researchers, critical thinkers, and future leaders.
