Two Normalista Faculty Win Best Oral Presenter Awards at ICMAR 2024

Two faculty members from Leyte Normal University received honors as the Best Oral Presenters at the 5th International Conference on Methodological Advances in Research (ICMAR) 2024. The Visayas-Mindanao Consortium for Journal Publications, Inc. (VMCJPI) organized the conference in collaboration with Northeastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) from September 17-20 in Tandag City, Surigao del Sur.
Prof. Ma. Chrishelle F. Bullecer excelled in Strand 5 (Implementation Science and Real-World Impact) with her study titled: In Silico Screening of Medicinal Plants for Flu in Samar and Leyte. Meanwhile, Prof. Rufo Labarrete stood out in Strand 6 (Community Engagement and Empowerment) with his research: A Proposed Model for Operationalizing the Granular Learning Theory in Implementing Alternative Learning System (ALS) Curricular Programs.
The conference themed “From Insight to Action: Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals through Methodological Advances in Research,” brought together experts, scholars, and researchers from around the world. Participants engaged in discussions about innovative research methodologies aimed at advancing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event highlighted keynote addresses, presentations, and in-depth discussions on methodologies that have real-world applications.
