LNU Celebrates 104th Founding Anniversary with Jovial and Vibrant Playground Demonstrations

Leyte Normal University commenced the second day of its 104th Founding Anniversary celebration with a vibrant and jovial opening program and a playground demonstration on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the ORC Quadrangle, highlighting the university’s legacy and commitment to excellence.
University President Dr. Evelyn Aguirre, delivered the opening message emphasizing the anniversary as a time to honor the university’s legacy and achievements over the years to inspire the next generation. Moreover, felicitations and messages of support were given by CHED Region VIII Director Maximo C. Aljibe, DBM Region VIII Director Imelda C. Laceras, CSC Director Leyte Field Office 1 Dir. Maria Natividad Costibolo. NEDA Regional Director, Dir. Mylene Rosales, also graced the occasion.
The event featured “The Seeds of Tomorrow,” a vibrant performance by Integrated Laboratory School (ILS) and Preparatory Learning Center (PLC) students symbolizing growth and new beginnings. PATHFIT 4 students followed with a dynamic showcase embodying the elements—fire, air, and water—honoring the natural forces that sustain life and reinforcing the university’s commitment to sustainability and a regenerative future.
