LNU Joins World Water Day Celebration with Cleanup Drive at Mangonbangon Creek
eyte Normal University (LNU) joined the global observance of World Water Day on March 22, 2025, by conducting a cleanup drive at Mangonbangon Creek and the adjacent LNU Park.
The activity was organized by the university’s Office of Physical Plant and Facilities in coordination with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and local officials from Barangays 49 and 50. Mangonbangon Creek is LNU’s officially adopted water body under its environmental initiatives.
The cleanup drive aimed to promote environmental awareness and strengthen the university’s commitment to sustainability and community engagement.
World Water Day is celebrated annually on March 22 to highlight the importance of freshwater and advocate for the sustainable management of water resources.
