Leyte Normal University Takes a Stand for Gender Equality in National Women’s Month Forum

Leyte Normal University marked the 2025 National Women’s Month with a thought-provoking forum titled “Resonating Voices: Ensuring Equal Rights and Access for All Women and Girls” on March 28, 2025, held at the Admin Ballroom. The event featured Ms. Maria Carmela Pullantes-Sabalo, Social Welfare Officer II from the Department of Social Welfare and Development, as the guest speaker. Dr. Gerardo P. Nicol, Director of Gender and Development, welcomed participants, underscoring the value of celebrating women’s contributions in history and promoting gender equality in line with the theme “WE for Gender Equality and an Inclusive Society.” The program included messages from key university officials and an open forum, which provided participants with an opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue about challenges and solutions in achieving gender equality.
