LNU Hosts Advocacy Forum on Building a Regenerative Future
Leyte Normal University hosted the Advocacy Forum on Regenerative Future on March 5, 2025, at LNU, Alba Hall. The event featured Director Richard Raymond B. Tantoco, the current Director of First Gen Corporation and President of the Oscar M. Lopez Center for Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Management Foundation.
The forum highlighted the urgency of moving beyond traditional sustainability practices toward regenerative solutions that restore ecosystems and promote climate resilience. The talk also explored the economic and social benefits of adopting regenerative principles, demonstrating how businesses and communities can integrate sustainability while driving long-term ecological impact.
University President Dr. Evelyn Aguirre attended the event alongside coordinators, faculty members, and students. The forum reinforced the commitment to developing environmentally responsible leaders and fostering impactful discussions on the future of climate action.
