LNU Clinches 4th Spot in the AACCUP’s 2024 Top Performing Schools for Accredited Programs

Leyte Normal University (LNU) has secured the 4th spot among the Top Five Performing Colleges and Universities in the Philippines under the Level I Accredited Programs Category for 2024, as recognized by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. The awarding ceremony took place on March 7, 2025, during the 38th AACCUP Annual National Conference and General Assembly held at Marikina State Polytechnic College, Marikina City, Metro Manila.
This recognition affirms LNU’s unwavering commitment to academic quality and excellence, as it ranked among the institutions with the highest number of programs granted Level I accreditation nationwide.
Representing LNU at the prestigious event were Dr. Justina T. Lantajo, Director of QMSAS-ISA & IPA; Dr. Alvin R. De Mesa, Senior Accreditor and faculty member; Dr. Micheline Gotardo, Academic Chair of the Applied Science Department; and Prof. Ma. Christina G. Llego, faculty member from the College of Education.
The conference united diverse stakeholders, including SUC Presidents, Deans, Academic Leaders, and Internal Quality Assurance staff. Senior faculty and accreditors also actively participated, sharing insights and best practices to improve quality assurance in higher education.
