Futurescape 2.0 Seminar Workshop Explores Strategic Foresight

Leyte Normal University held a four-day seminar workshop titled Futurescape 2.0: Shaping the Future of Leyte Normal University through Research and Innovation from March 31 to April 4, 2025, at the LNU Administration Ballroom. The event brought together faculty researchers from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), College of Management and Entrepreneurship (CME), and Graduate School (GS).
Spearheaded by Dr. Rommel Verecio, Director of the International Affairs and External Linkages Office, the workshop was designed to equip participants with practical tools and methodologies for anticipating change and creating inclusive, future-ready research.
The sessions were facilitated by distinguished experts from the UP-NCPAG Governance Futures Lab, led by Program Director Dr. Reginald G. Ugaddan. The Futurescape 1.0 participants from the College of Education (COE), who previously presented their research during the FuturesPhil Conference, shared their studies once again during the research colloquium.
As participants continue working on their research proposals, this initiative’s impact is expected to go beyond the university and benefit communities, institutions, and future policies.
