LNU Advances Health Research Skills Through Workshop on Systematic Review and Bibliometric Analysis
Leyte Normal University (LNU) hosted the workshop “Basic Tools in Health Science Research: Systematic Review and Meta-analysis (SRMA) and Bibliometric Analysis” on April 8, 2025, at the LNU Admin Ballroom. The event gathered instructors from different programs and Biology students to enhance their research capabilities in evidence-based practice.
Participants were introduced to the systematic review process and its importance in synthesizing research findings. The session also covered the principles and methodologies of meta-analysis, offering insights into how data from multiple studies can be quantitatively assessed to generate robust conclusions.
Additionally, the workshop featured sessions on bibliometric analysis, a method of evaluating the impact and trends in scientific literature. Through hands-on activities, participants practiced techniques in literature searching, data extraction, and analysis using bibliometric tools.
