“Dayon Normalista” Signals the Start of a New Academic Year
Leyte Normal University officially opened Academic Year 2025–2026 with its “Dayon Normalista” Welcome Back Program on August 18, 2025. The event gathered faculty, staff, new and continuing students in a series of activities. Highlights of the event included a flag-raising ceremony featuring a welcome message from the University President Dr. Gil Nicetas B. Villarino, a thanksgiving mass, and the induction of newly elected student leaders.
More than a tradition, Dayon Normalista embodies the essence of unity as it encourages and welcomes the entire community to embrace new opportunities for learning, service, and leadership. As the university steps into a new academic year, the celebration stands as a reminder that the Normalista spirit thrives when the community moves forward together.
