New Pledges on Poverty, Sustainability Made at IPOVCON 2025


NAVAL, BILIRAN (Oct. 8-9, 2025) — Conduct of the 6th International and 9th National Conference on Poverty Alleviation and Sustainable Development at Biliran Province State University.

Leyte Normal University (LNU) joined the academic community in the 6th International and 9th National Conference on Poverty Alleviation and Sustainable Development (IPOVCON) hosted by Samar State University (SSU), in partnership with Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) and the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev) Region 8.

Held on October 8-9, at the BiPSU in Naval, Biliran, the conference gathered researchers, educators, policymakers, and development advocates from across the world to exchange ideas and strategies for combating poverty through innovation and inclusive growth.

Anchored on the theme “Technology-Driven Solutions for Poverty Alleviation and Inclusive Sustainability,” the event highlights the critical role of technology in driving social and economic progress.
