Social Studies Faculty Shines at International Research Conference
NAVAL, BILIRAN (Oct. 8-9, 2025) — Conduct of the 6th International and 9th National Conference on Poverty Alleviation and Sustainable Development at Biliran Province State University.
Leyte Normal University proudly congratulates Dr. Dennis M. Bautista and Mr. Mark Jesse Atay, esteemed faculty members of the BSED Social Studies and Values Education Program, for their remarkable achievement at the 6th International and 9th National Conference on Poverty Alleviation and Sustainable Development (IPOVCON 2025) held on October 8–9, 2025 at Biliran Province State University, Naval, Biliran.
Their research paper titled “Rooted Resilience: Revitalizing Communal Labor Traditions for Sustainable and Disaster-Resilient Agriculture in Eastern Visayas, Philippines” stood out among numerous entries and earned their outstanding contribution as Best Paper Presenter.
This recognition not only highlights their academic excellence but also underscores the University’s commitment to advancing research that uplifts communities and champions sustainability.
