PVAO Partners with LNU for Special Screening of Documentary Film “Tagumpay”
TACLOBAN CITY, PHILIPPINES (Oct. 21, 2025) — Special Screening of Documentary Film “Tagumpay” at LNU AV Studio in Partnership with Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO).
Leyte Normal University (LNU) successfully hosted two film screening sessions of the documentary film Tagumpay on October 21, 2025, in collaboration with the PVAO – Field Service 8, headed by Ms. Nenita C. Brazil. The special screening aimed to deepen students’ appreciation of the heroism and sacrifices of Filipino veterans and to enrich their understanding of Philippine history beyond the classroom setting.
Present at the event were Mr. Ariel G. Salarda, Director for Student Organizations and Activities; officers of the LNU Supreme Student Council (SSC); and students enrolled in the course Readings in Philippine History under instructors Mr. Lester Lelina, Ms. Gemaris Jadaone, and Mr. Mark Jesse Atay.
The documentary served as an eye-opening and meaningful reminder of the enduring legacy of the country’s war heroes who fought for the nation during the Pacific War.
