ESSU Benchmarks LNU on Times Higher Education Impact Ranking Best Practices
TACLOBAN CITY, PHILIPPINES (Oct. 28, 2025) — Eastern Samar State University (ESSU) Benchmarking Activity on Times Higher Education Best Practices at Leyte Normal University (LNU) OUP Conference Room.
LNU welcomed the delegation from Eastern Samar State University for a learning and benchmarking visit focused on LNU’s best practices in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings.
Representing the ESSU delegation, Dr. Jocelyn S. Castro, Vice President for External Affairs and Quality Assurance, expressed gratitude to LNU for opening its doors and sharing its experiences in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through impactful education initiatives.
Highlighting the session, Dr. Jonas P. Villas, Vice President for Research, Innovation, Extension, and Internationalization, presented LNU’s institutional journey and frameworks that contributed to its standing in the THE Impact Rankings.
The visit concluded with a presentation of tokens, photo opportunities, and an open forum, fostering academic linkages and mutual commitment toward quality and sustainable higher education in Eastern Visayas.
