RSGF Delegates Pays Courtesy Visit to Dr. Villarino
TACLOBAN CITY, PHILIPPINES (Nov. 18, 2025) — Leyte Normal University (LNU) Delegates for the 2025 Rits Super Global Forum (RSGF) Pays Courtesy Visit to LNU President Villarino at the Office of the University President (OUP).
Leyte Normal University (LNU) delegates to the 2025 Rits Super Global Forum (RSGF) paid a courtesy call to University President Dr. Gil Nicetas B. Villarino on November 17, 2025, following their successful participation in the international event held in Kyoto, Japan, from November 9 to 14, 2025. The courtesy call also highlighted the newly inked Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between LNU and Ritsumeikan Junior and Senior High School, strengthening international academic and cultural partnerships.
Present were Dr. Lina G. Fabian, Vice President for Academic Services; Dr. Billy A. Danday, Dean of the College of Education; Prof. Lorena M. Ripalda, ILS Director; Dr. Orlando P. Vinculado, Jr., Director for International Affairs and External Linkages; and coaches Mr. Willan Keith A. Badidles and Mr. Ricky Cebrano.
RSGF student participants shared their research outputs, which they presented during the forum:
• “A Divided Land: Case of Discrimination in Congo” – Ricci Antonette C. Blanco
• “The Spirit of Covivencia: Fostering Mutual Understanding of Cultures” – Mariecate Conzeph B. Militante
• “Help or Harm: The Effects of Social Media on Mental Health in South Korea” – Suane Amanda A. Bardillon
Dr. Vinculado also presented his special lecture titled “Connected or Consumed? A Deep Dive into Social Media’s Mental Health Footprint.”
The LNU delegation’s Kadal Tahu cultural performance was warmly received by the international audience. Students also collaborated with peers worldwide in presenting solutions under the forum’s theme “Coexistence,” covering equity, cultural identity, environmental sustainability, technology, and mental health.
To cap the participants RSGF 2025 experience the delegation also explored the cultural and historical sites of Kyoto and Osaka.
