CME Hosts World Experts Lecture Series on Ethics and Tourism
TACLOBAN CITY, PHILIPPINES (Nov. 12-13, 2025) — World Experts Lecture Series at the HRDC Alba Hall
The College of Management and Entrepreneurship (CME) of Leyte Normal University (LNU) welcomed Prof. Brent A. Lovelock of the University of Otago, New Zealand, as the featured speaker for its World Experts Lecture Series on November 12, 2025, at the HRDC Alba Hall. The event was also streamed live via the official Facebook page of LNU College of Management and Entrepreneurship.
Prof. Lovelock delivered a lecture on Ethics and Tourism titled “From Ethical Decline to Regenerative Potential: Reimagining Tourism’s Moral Future,” highlighting the crucial role of ethics in shaping a more sustainable and regenerative tourism industry. His insights emphasized how responsible practices can address current ethical challenges and contribute to the long-term well-being of communities and destinations.
The session provided students, faculty, and industry partners an opportunity to engage in discussions on ethical tourism, sustainability, and the future direction of global travel.
