ORI Hosts Training on Intellectual Property Commercialization and Technology Transfer


TACLOBAN CITY, PHILIPPINES (Nov. 17-21, 2025) — Conduct of Training on Intellectual Property Commercialization and Technology Transfer at Leyte Normal University (LNU) Ballroom.

Leyte Normal University, through its Office of Research and Innovation, successfully hosted a week-long training-workshop on Intellectual Property Commercialization, Licensing, and Technology Transfer for ITSOs held on November 17-21, 2025 at the LNU Ballroom.

The activity was organized in partnership with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) and representatives from various Innovation and Technology Support Offices (ITSOs) across the Visayas attended the event, making it a collaborative space for capacity-building and knowledge exchange.

The training focused on equipping participants with practical knowledge on IP portfolio assessment, Technology Readiness Level (TRL) evaluation, IP valuation, and essential tools for technology transfer. The training highlighted the collective effort to strengthen IP management and technology transfer in the region, helping participants enhance their capacity to turn research outputs into meaningful, real-world innovations.
