LNU Empowers Educators through PURPPLE Seminar-Workshop
PALO, LEYTE, PHILIPPINES (Nov. 17-21, 2025) — Seminar-Workshop on Profound Understanding of Research Production and Publication for Learning Educators (PURPPLE) at Leyte Normal University (LNU) – Palo Satellite Campus.
Leyte Normal University, led by President Dr. Gil Nicetas B. Villarino, successfully wrapped up the three-day PURPPLE Seminar-Workshop held on November 20–22, 2025 at the LNU Palo Satellite Campus.
In partnership with DepEd Leyte, headed by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Mariza S. Magan, the program equipped DepEd educators from Cogon Elementary School and Palo National High School with strengthened skills in IMRAD research writing, research methodology, ethics, and the use of digital tools like AI to enhance research productivity. Alongside the participating faculty members, the session included graduate students and undergraduate students of LNU, further enriching the collaborative learning environment.
Across interactive lectures presented by esteemed LNU faculty, hands-on sessions, and proposal presentations, participants explored blended learning, quantitative and qualitative designs, mixed methods, and effective data reporting. Fifteen educators presented their proposals, with Ms. Christie Anne D. Bihag earning Best Presenter honors.
The event concluded with the signing of the PURPPLE Commitment Wall, marking the educators’ dedication to advancing inclusive and high-quality education through research.
